Logging in is optional. It lets you see your pets and play DiscoPets here using the same account as in Discord.
Only your Discord ID, name and avatar (Discord calls this the identify permission). We can't see your messages, servers, friends or email, and we never post anything to Discord for you.
Your Discord name and avatar are shown only to you, on my pets. Your pets' names, species and levels are public on DiscoPets pages, the same as in the bot. So is the name the bot shows as a pet's owner (your Discord display name, which the bot saves when you play), just like on pet cards in Discord. Your Discord ID is never shown.
Your pets, Beats and team live in the DiscoPets game database, the same one the Discord bot uses. Logging in doesn't add anything to it. Choosing game commands can register you, spend Beats, change pets, or offer trades. Signed-in players can look up the same player profiles and teams available in Discord. Trade recipients must accept before anything is exchanged.
Owner-only tools can update the game and its Discord bot, including event announcements and art uploads, just like the matching admin commands in Discord.
Log out on my pets. You can also remove DiscoPets under Discord's User Settings > Authorized Apps.
